When they had understood and appreciated the Dharma with the faith in their Triple Gem, they will collaborate to find a way to build Thai Temples and will increase the overseas Thai Temples with the mighty of Triple Gem which is truly in their hearts”

 

                  The Project of Wat Thai Dhammajarika Sanghavihara Meditation Center of Los Angeles is under the supervision of Dhammajarika Foundation of Los Angeles which registered as a non-profit organization in 2017 in Los Angeles California United States.

 

                  Dhammajarika Foundation of Los Angeles has established 3 work plans and policies for Buddhist mission as Buddhist propagation, Academic and Social work. With plans to develop the working group of leaders for being a good and quality religious fellowship of the organization in accordance with the organization development principles of Area development, Team development and Capital development.

 

                  Furthermore, in the year 2563 of Buddhist era it was the year that Somdej Phra Buddha Chinnawong (Suwannachoto Maha Thera) will turn 100 Years old. With remembrance of the patronage of Somdej Phra Buddha Chinnawong which is the founder of the Dhammajarika Project and the ideal of the integration of Buddhism propagation activities and social development the ideal of Sangha creation to create a society. In this regard, the Dhammajarika Foundation of Los Angeles has established theWat Thai Dhammajarika Sanghavihara Meditation Center of Los Angeles offered as archangel worship on the occasion of the 100th anniversary celebration of Somdej Phra Buddha Chinnawong with activities as follows ( 1 ) Casting the principal Buddha image and creating amulets ( 2 ) Establishing the Dhammajarika of Los Angeles Fund ( 3 ) Establishing the dilate on Tripitaka project ( 4 ) Establishing Dhamma Education ( 5 ) Establishing a Scholarship Granting Project ( 6 ) Establishing a praise project of mindfulness and Dhamma discussion every Buddhist Holy Day, Full moon ( 7 ) Participated in the Pali Training program of Thai Buddhist Monastery Assembly in the United States ( 7 ) Establishing an academic information corner summary of annual report ( 8 ) Organize field trips to observe Buddhism in foreign countries ( 9 ) Attend sangha activities, providing almshouse accommodation with Thai temples in the United States, associations, clubs and various agencies ( 10 ) other activities as appreciate.

 

                  In addition, the previous organization of activities to create a friendly atmosphere and building a Buddhist community of the Dhammajarika Foundation of Los Angeles is an atmosphere of being a center of Thai and Buddhist minds with a variety of creative activities. The activities has received the attention of Thai layperson, some Buddhists considered a success, goodness originated from aspiration to create Sangha to create a learning society in accordance with this Buddhist path.

 

                  The blissful of the Buddhist Company arose in harmony with the clergy and layperson forming a monastery in the center of North Hollywood, California of the United States. In the 100th year occasion of Somdej Phra Buddha Chinnawong (Suwannachoto Maha Thera) founder of the Dhammajarika Project and the ideal of Sangha creativities and social development the ideal of Sangha creation to create a society in the year 2563 of Buddhist era, the working group of the Dhammajarika Foundation of Los Angeles together with the true friend network pay obeisance to the name of his monastery to be a Buddhist worship, Dhamma Worship and Archangel worship as “Wat Thai Dhammajarika Sanghavihara Meditation Center of Los Angeles” to drive the Buddhism mission, Social work and Academic work in accordance with the wishes of the clergy of Wat Sri Soda, the royal temple, in Chiangmai who approached to propagate Buddhism, Dhamma pilgrimage abroad collaboratively create Sangha to create a society together and to establish a temple as an ideal area in building a moral society, strong society and the generosity society who left no one behind and a democratic society based on fundamentals of Dhamma afterward.

 

Objectives of the Foundation and Projects 

1. To be a source of learning and meditation promotion, yoga practice, prayer and Dhamma discussion
2. To be a center for supporting all types of Buddhism propagation
3. To be a center for integration of social development in various fields with Buddhist principles to produce academic work, research and collaborate with universities, associations and clubs
4. To be a center for developing the potential of Dhammajarika, Buddhist Missionary Monks and Buddhist leaders abroad
5. To commemorate the 100 year anniversary of Somdej Phra Buddha Chinnawong (Suwannachoto Maha Thera)

 

Process / Operation Plan 

1. Meeting of the committee to discuss and appoint a working group in USA consisting of Advisory, Organizing Committee, Administrative Committee and the Subcommittee
2. Draft principles for the construction project of Dhammajarika Temple coordinate various related departments
3. Organizing on the registration of Thai Dhammajarika Temple
4. Coordinate the assembly of Thai monks in the United States to ask for merciful coordinating government officer (Consul General) Maha Ther, rich merchants and people
5. To set up the development plan for the Dhammajarika Foundation and Dhamma Retreat, Dhammajarika Sanghavihara Meditation Center, and the personnel management regulations. Activity management, Site management, Financial management, Academic and Information Management
6. Assign the target area or looking for a house to rent for building temples and set guidelines for funds raising
7. Organize Dhamma practicing course, Yoga for health course, praying activity tour, Dhamma lecture activity, Books / Buddhist media
8. Proceeding with the development plan of the Dhammajarika Los Angeles Foundation and Dhamma Retreat, Wat Thai Dhammajarika Sanghavihara Meditation Center and

3. Sangha creative activity and social work
   1. Participating in monk activities every Buddhist Holy Day, 15 semi-fortnight monks, 14 nights at Thai Temple of Los Angeles 
   2. Participating the Sangha association to receive food offerings to the monks in Thai Town in Los Angeles every Saturday
   3. Establishment of the Dhammajarika Foundation of Los Angeles for supporting the mission of Buddhism social work, patients with disabilities visit True friend that has various disasters and supporting academic studies and research
   4. Participated in the Pali training tour project of the General Assembly of Thai Monks in the United States
